                                  YWCA IS ON A MISSION
The YWCA has always been on a mission to eliminate racism, empower women and promote peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all. You might know us as a building with a pool and a gym but we are so much more than that. We are a movement.
There are so many ways our YWCA is working for West- chester families. We offer daycare, early childhood education programs, before and after school programs and Camp Funkist to assist working parents. Our health and fitness programming includes aquatics programs for all ages and gymnastic programs for youth.
Our Residence for Women provides supportive housing for women in need or crisis. Court supervised visitation and safe exchange programs enable our clients to feel more secure in difficult situations.
Special programs are available for individuals with developmental disabilities and breast cancer holistic wellness programs promote good heath.
Leadership programs for girls include GEMS and
Y Leaders Programs. And we are proud to introduce our Westchester Center for Racial Equity, which will offer programs and workshops to empower this cause.
Visit at ywcawpcw.org or call us at 914-949-6227 to learn more about the work of the YWCA White Plains & Central Westchester.
Inaugural Director of the Westchester Center for Racial Equity, Maria Dautruche, balances her busy day as a working mom supported by services from her YWCA membership. Shown here, Maria brings her daughter to gymnastics at the YWCA and is greeted by Melissa Spoor, YWCA Gymnastics Program Director.
