                                 Letter from the Publisher
Welcome to 914INC.’s first annual Giving Guide. We are pleased to present 250+ local nonprofits, each of which works tirelessly to make our community better and stronger. This has been a particularly challenging year for many of us and each of these groups welcomes your support as they endeavor to serve so many of our neighbors in need.
The Giving Guide is meant to be a tool to help you easily research and identify organizations that get you excited about donating and/or volunteering your time.
Each profile includes a mission statement, community impact update, leadership information, plus giving and volunteer opportunities. They also provide important background information such as funding sources, annual revenue, and service area.
We hope that business leaders who read 914INC. will consider reaching out to some of these organizations – and others they may know – to see if they can build a long-term relationship of giving and volunteering.
This year’s Giving Guide kicks off with a message from Anahaita Kotval, President, and Jan Fisher, Executive Director, Nonprofit Westchester, who focus on the importance of collaboration and how it’s an essential skill for navigating a post- COVID world.
We hope that this guide reinforces the value and help that these organizations bring to our community. We also hope that it encourages you to dig deeper and consider supporting them while also telling others about the importance they play in our community.
Thank you for your interest in contributing to Westchester’s vibrant and essential network of nonprofit organizations.
Sincerely,
Sam Wender Publisher, 914INC.
