HOW WE MAKE AN IMPACT
Hearing the words, “you’ve got cancer” is always frightening. It’s easy to feel over- whelmed. Cancer Support Team is here to help cancer patients and their family members make the best decisions to move forward.
Our team of registered nurses go to the
home and offer one-on-one education and
support to those who live in southern Westchester. All of our services are free and include case management assistance with government benefits, insurance, medical equipment, and more, as well as social work counseling to help patients manage the enormous emotional toll this disease can take.
GIVING OPPORTUNITIES
Cancer Support Team is very local – we help your friends and neighbors, and we rely on the local community to support us with donations big and small. Our annual health education luncheon takes place in the fall, and our gala takes place every other year in the spring. Donations can be made online by going to our website: cancersupportteam.org.
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
CST relies on volunteers to help with fundraising, event planning, and board participation. Also, CST runs a transportation program that takes cancer patients to and from lifesaving treatments – chemotherapy and radiation. This program is completely staffed by volunteer drivers.
