Bronxville boasted a 100 percent four-year graduation rate and an average SAT score of 1,865, while offering 20 Advanced Placement courses, making it one of the most challenging high schools in the state according to a recent study by the Washington Post. Monroe-Woodbury High School in Central Valley (Orange) was voted fourth in USA Today’s Best Boys’ Sports Programs for 2014. It also has strong academics with a reported average SAT score of 1,535, surpassing both the New York State and national averages. Carmel High School in Carmel (Putnam) has been a familiar name on the list of America’s best high schools, according to Newsweek and the Washington Post.
