I am a registered nurse and proud to be a veteran. Following discharge from the army, I became an RN. I later pursued my Master of Public Health from New York Medical College in Valhalla. I have been with the organization for 28 years. I was promoted to CEO in November 2019 – just before COVID hit. With the pandemic, we were struck with many financial and logistical challenges. It was a scary time, as I was diagnosed with COVID on March 17 of 2020. When I tested positive, we pivoted to a virtual leadership model. We also lost three long time employees to COVID. It was a devastating time, but many resources in the County came to our aid, including the County Executive’s Office, The Commissioner of Health, the Governor, and the Mayor of Mount Vernon. Through it all, we persevered, and provided care for our patients who rely on us. We established one of the first COVID walk- up testing clinics in April 2021. We serve
areas with low vaccination rates and provide vaccinations at all our sites.
Looking ahead in 2022, the future is looking bright. We have a wonderful board, have received a $12 million dollar grant and are in the process of rebranding. With funding from the Louis Lanza Foundation and with the help of Enormous Creative, we will select a

new, single, umbrella name and brand identity for the organization. We are reimagining our mission and values and also redesigning our web presence. We will complete renovation work on our Mt. Vernon site and also focus on fundraising. 2022 looks to be an exciting year for our organization and those we serve.
    With healthcare that rivals that available in Manhattan, Westchester County is also served by a host of top-notch hospital systems.
MONTEFIORE HEALTH SYSTEM
Montefiore Health System has 40 specialty care locations in Westchester plus four hospitals – White Plains Hospital, Montefiore New Rochelle, Montefiore Mount Vernon and Burke Rehabilitation Hospital – as well as a skilled nursing facility. The Company also has two corporate campuses in the county – one in Yonkers, which includes its care management headquarters, and one in Tarrytown.
NEWYORK-PRESBYTERIAN
NewYork-Presbyterian has several locations across Westchester and the Hudson Valley to provide area residents with easy access to high quality, comprehensive care. The system has two area hospitals — NewYork-Presbyterian Lawrence Hospital and NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital. Both are staffed with world-class physicians, includ- ingdoctorsfromColumbiaUniversityIrvingMedicalCenter who provide specialty care in cancer, cardiology, orthopedics, sports medicine and more.
THE WESTCHESTER MEDICAL CENTER HEALTH NETWORK (WMCHEALTH)
The Westchester Medical Center Health Network (WMCHealth) is a 1,700-bed healthcare system headquartered in Valhalla, New York, with 10 hospitals on eight campuses spanning 6,200 square miles of the Hudson Valley. WMCHealth employs more than 13,000 people and has nearly 3,000 attending physicians. The network has Level 1, Level 2, and Pediatric Trauma Centers, the region’s only acute care children’s hospital, an academic medical center, several community hospitals, and dozens of specialized institutes and centers.
NORTHWELL HEALTH
New York’s largest private employer and health care provider, Northwell Health operates 22 hospitals, two of which are in Westchester. Its 77,000 employees include 18,500 nurses, 4,500 employed doctors and nearly 3,300 members of Northwell Health Physician Partners. Four of its hospitals received top-50 national ratings in 22 adult medical specialties in US News & World Report’s 2021-22 Best Hospital rankings.
