     Spring CSAs
COMMUNITY SUPPORTED Agriculture, or CSA, is a unique model of seasonal food production and distribution that bonds farmers and consumers. CSA members can purchase a “share” of a farm’s annual harvest upfront, establishing a solid financial foundation for the farm prior to the start of the growing season. Especially in times like these, committing to a CSA can be an economic backbone for
local producers. In return, CSA members will receive a regular selection of farm-fresh food come harvest time, like vegetables, fruit, meat, mushrooms, flowers, herbs, grains, eggs, dairy— or a combination of all. With a range of styles and sizes, CSA shares can support a wide variety of households, pocketbooks, and appetites, all while supporting local agriculture.
Since 2016, the HudsonValley CSA Coalition has expanded and diversified CSAs in the Hudson Valley: Their network of 120 farms is committed to recruiting first-time members, expanding the local member base of area farms, and making CSA a familiar and accessible option for everyone.
