National Historic Landmark 1895 retreat of naturalist John Burroughs. Rustic cabin with twig furnishings visited by President Roosevelt, John Muir, Henry Ford. John R. Kirk Planetarium

Astronomy Nights are held the first and third Thursday of each month the university is in session. A public planetarium show at the John R. Kirk is followed with a telescope viewing at the Smolen Observatory if the sky is clear. Hours vary. Accessible, child friendly and group friendly.

Tour the Josiah Hasbrouck House, an elegant Federal-style mansion and the Evert Terwil- liger House, a 1738 Dutch-style stone house. Both houses are preserved as museums and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. May-October by appointment only.

Perrine’s Bridge

Rondout Lighthouse
