High Banks Preserve

Mount Tremper Fire Tower

The 47-foot fire tower was built in 1917
and offers views of the tallest mountains in the Catskills, along the Hudson Valley and Shawangunk Mountains. There is a 3-mile hike to the 2,740-foot summit with a 2,000-foot elevation gain. Cab at top of tower is open weekends and holidays, June-Columbus Day. Accessible year-round.

Located near Historic Huguenot Street, the Sanctuary has 56 acres of property and over 1,300 feet of frontage on the Wallkill River with Shawangunk Mountains viewscape. Take a self-guided tour through its woodlands and beside the oxbow. Open year-round. Acces- sible, child, pet and group friendly.
Overlook Mountain Fire Tower

Views of the Hudson Valley, Catskill Mountains, Ashokan Reservoir and Overlook Hotel ruins. A 2.5-mile trail with vertical rise beginning to end at 1,400 feet. Rated moderately difficult. Cab at top of tower is open weekends and holidays, June-Columbus Day. Accessible year-round.
Perrine’s Bridge

This last surviving example of the Burr arch truss design in New York State spans the Wallkill River between the towns of Esopus and Rosendale. Listed on the National Reg- ister of Historic Places. Red Hill Fire Tower

is a moderate, 3-mile round-trip hike to the summit of the 2,990-foot peak. Cab at top of tower is open weekends and holidays, June-Columbus Day. Accessible year-round.
River-to-Ridge Trail
