   Montgomery Base Class Brings
New ProLoggers
The North Carolina Forestry Association (NCFA), in conjunction with Montgomery Community College (MCC), hosted the second ProLogger Base Class of
2019 in Troy on May 15 and 16.
Overall, the 2019 Montgomery ProLogger Base Class
was a success, training a total of 15 new ProLoggers. Thank you to all of our new ProLoggers for your hard work and effort in completing the Base Class training. The NCFA wishes you the best of luck in your future endeavors!
Representatives from Forestry Mutual Insurance Company (FMIC), the North Carolina State Highway Patrol (NCSHP), the North Carolina Forest Service (NCFS) and the North Carolina Department of Occupational Safety and Health (NC OSH) helped facilitate the course.

 John Albertson (NCFS), Matt Vincent (NCFS), Richard Chellberg (NCFS), Nancy Blackwood (NCFS), Dr. A.J. Lang (NCFS), Trooper Neil Presler (NCSHP), Eric Smith (NC OSH), Bruce Pearson (NC OSH), Eddie Campbell (FMIC) and Bryan Wagner (FMIC).
 A very special thank you to Troy Lumber Company for providing the lunch and snacks for the class.
 The NCFA would also like to extend a special thank you to Montgomery Community College for hosting the classroom portion of the course, and to McCormick Logging of Mount Gilead for hosting the Base Class field training at their job site.
 Special thanks to Dr. John Monroe, landowner of the tract, and David Henderson, Forestry Consultant for Dr. Monroe, for hosting the class on his property.
