For over 20 years, the NCFA’s Sustainable Forestry Teachers Experience has successfully connected educators to the forestry community. It is through
the enthusiasm of the host sites, sponsors like the Sustainable Forestry Initiative-State Implementation Committee (NC SFI-SIC), and our members, that
the NCFA continues to be the premier facilitator for forestry education professional development in North Carolina. The enthusiasm of our members and forestry professionals is inspiring, and the knowledge shared with teachers who attend the SFTE is taught in classrooms from Manteo to Murphy.
Thank you to all who have participated, hosted or sponsored the experience in the past. The North Carolina Forestry Association is excited for what the next 20 years of SFTEs will bring.
