To Stay Safe During COVID-19
              Essential workers, making essential products. Since the beginning
of the pandemic, that statement has been
a guiding principle for the forest products industry. But how do we make the thousands of essential products people depend on, and keep our workers safe?

“We encourage everyone in the forest products industry to take the necessary precautions to prevent COVID-19,” said John Hatcher, executive director of NCFA. “At the end of the day, each person’s role is so important to keeping the business moving forward and our rural communities and families safe.”
The long-term impacts of COVID-19 are still unknown, and we encourage
our essential workers to be vigilant in preventing its spread.

1. WestRock in Winston Salem and Forest City designed, assembled and donated 70,000 face shields
for health workers. 2. Anthony B. Andrews Logging Inc. is keeping loggers safe with signs to remind workers to practice social distancing while on the job. 3. Enviva provided breakfast for medical staff at a local hospital in Roanoke Rapids.
4. International Paper in New Bern donated 250 corrugated boxes to help distribute meals in the community.
