Focus on Forestry Careers – The first edition of the Focus on Forestry Careers booklet highlights 15 professionals working in our community. Booklets are available upon request and electronic copies are available on the NCFA website. This is an ongoing project and additional profiles will be added in upcoming editions.
Goods from the Woods Video Series – The Goods from the Woods film project is a miniseries of short educational videos that highlights the forest products made in the state of North Carolina. Videos will spotlight the supply chain, the processes used to make the product, and the essential workers involved. Each video will have corresponding lesson plans and activities. Videos will be available in fall 2021.

Safety, Logging, and Transportation Committee (SLTC) –
The SLTC focuses on identifying safety and business trends in the forest products industry, especially in the logging profession. The committee develops training materials that are incorporated into the ProLogger Base Course and the annual ProLogger Module classes.
North Carolina Friends of Forestry Political Action
Committee (FFPAC) – FFPAC is an independent, non-partisan organization of individuals interested in the policies and regulations that affect North Carolina’s natural resources and forest-based economy. It is registered with the state board of elections and adheres to North Carolina’s statutory requirements. FFPAC does not offer support in federal elections.
The mission of FFPAC is to champion forestry/agricultural interests by organizing more effective political action and by creating awareness among candidates of the importance of forestry to the economy and the environment, thus carrying out its civic responsibility.
In the 2020 election races, the FFPAC donated $18,500 to
31 different candidates, 58% in the North Carolina House of Representatives and 42% in the Senate, and one Commissioner of Agriculture. The FFPAC was 96.8% successful in winning races for the candidates that we supported in 2020.
