Companies Are Tackling Truck Safety
One of the major issues affecting the forestry and wood products industry today is trucking and truck safety. The North Carolina Forestry Association’s (NCFA) ProLogger Module 20 focuses heavily on trucking and truck-safety
training points that are affecting the industry. In addition to hosting ProLogger Module 20 classes, some of our members and member companies are taking extra steps to ensure that log truck drivers are using proper safety techniques and understand the importance of doing so.
Through events like Log Truck Safety Blitzes, Truck Driver Appreciation Days and National Truck Driver Appreciation Week in September, our members are doing their part to make sure that trucking and truck safety are at the forefront of the forest industry’s priorities. NCFA member companies like Domtar Paper Company; WestRock CP, LLC; Weyerhaeuser Company; International Paper Company; Enviva Biomass; Columbia Forest Products and others are all choosing to make truck safety a priority at their facilities across North Carolina.
