“Change is inevitable. Growth is optional.”
- John C. Maxwell
On behalf of the board and our team at the NCFA, I hope everyone had a safe and enjoyable Christmas and New Year’s.
This time last year, no one could have expected the magnitude of change that our nation and globe were about to experience because
of COVID-19. At the NCFA, we were excited and gearing up for another year of growing your association through our various programs. However, we did not expect having to grow in the ways that this past year has forced upon us. Advocacy and education efforts went completely virtual, and in-person committee meetings quickly became a part of history in
order to keep one another
safe and well. Programs that
typically involve in-person
meetings, such as our education
camps, committee meetings,
and ProLogger module were
quickly formatted to online
platforms.

While, like many others, I
am optimistic that we will one
day return to “normal,” I am
grateful for the growth that
we have experienced because
of the global pandemic. The
flexibility and new partnerships
the NCFA has gained in 2020
in order to better communicate
with both members and the public will allow us to engage more of our members moving forward.
For our members, we are proud of how you all responded to COVID-19: from donating face shields for health workers, to practicing safe social distancing on job sites, to providing breakfast for medical staff at local hospitals, and donating corrugated boxes to help distribute meals in your communities. The level of support that our members gave to their communities, our state, and the nation did not go unnoticed.
We are hopeful that we will get to see everyone in 2021.
