Healthcare Board of Directors. He has previously served as President of the Eastern Sussex Physician Organization and is the current President of the Medical Society of Delaware.
RAY A. BLACKWELL, MD, Chief of Cardiac Surgery and Surgical Director of the Mechanical Circulatory Support Program at Christiana Care, received a lifetime achievement award at Dartmouth College.
NANTICOKE HEALTH SERVICES
NANTICOKE HEALTH FOUNDATION has plans to affiliate with Peninsula Regional Health System (PRHS). Nanticoke, based in Seaford, has a 99-bed inpatient unit as well as outpatient diagnostic and therapy services with several locations throughout the county. PRHS has 288 acute care beds, is the eighth-largest hospital in Maryland, and the region’s largest, most advanced health care facility. The two groups aim to maximize their potential to improve quality, expand access to services, enhance patient experience, and support the overall community health and wellness for patients across Delmarva.
