The 231st Annual Meeting of the Medical Society of Delaware was held virtually due to the coronavirus pandemic and the need to reduce the spread of the virus.
The Annual Meeting of the Council was held during “Annual Meeting Week,” on Tuesday, November 17, 2020. The Annual Meeting of the MSD Holding Company Board of Directors was held on Wednesday,
November 18, 2020, and the Annual Meeting Education Program was presented on Thursday, November 19, 2020.
COUNCIL MEETING
As part of the format of our virtual Annual Council Meeting, the following invited guests prepared pre-recorded messages that were played during the meeting: U.S. Senator Christopher Coons, U.S. Congresswoman Lisa Blunt Rochester, and American Medical Association (AMA) President Susan R. Bailey, MD. Guests participating in the meeting were Claudette Dalton, MD, Chair of the Southeastern Delegation to the AMA, and Joaquin Falcon, AMA Field Representative for Delaware.
Sponsorship was incorporated into Annual Meeting Week and many organizations welcomed the opportunity to participate. The Presenting Sponsor Level provided those sponsors the opportunity to provide
a brief pre-recorded message that was
then presented at the beginning of the Council Meeting. Those who were showcased through these messages were: CarePortMD, Coverys, Curi, Grail, Highmark Delaware, and Saul Ewing Arnstein & Lehr. MorrisJames LLP was also a Presenting Sponsor.
