BAYHEALTH HOSPITAL, SUSSEX CAMPUS has been re-designated as
a Baby-Friendly birth facility. The designation recognizes hospitals and birthing centers that offer an optimal level of care for breastfeeding mothers and their babies. The award is presented to birth facilities that offer breastfeeding mothers the information, confidence, and skills needed to successfully initiate and continue breastfeeding their babies.

CAMPUS have received the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association’s Get With The Guidelines®Stroke Gold
Plus Quality Achievement Award. The award recognizes each hospital’s dedication to ensuring stroke patients receive the most appropriate treatment according to nationally recognized guidelines based on the latest scientific evidence.
CHRISTIANACARE
CHRISTIANACARE: Union Hospital in Elkton, MD has officially become part of ChristianaCare. The final agreement integrates Affinity Health Alliance and its subsidiaries into Delaware’s largest health care provider. Union Hospital will now be known as
ChristianaCare, Union Hospital. Its campus, situated in the heart of downtown Elkton, will be known as ChristianaCare, Cecil County.
NANTICOKE HEALTH SERVICES
NANTICOKE HEALTH SERVICES (NHS) OF SEAFORD AND PENINSULA REGIONAL HEALTH SYSTEM (PRHS), based in Salisbury, MD, have officially passed final state and federal regulatory approval for the affiliation of the two health services. Nanticoke Memorial Hospital, the Nanticoke Physician Network, and all other Nanticoke health care services have joined the Peninsula Regional Health System. McCready Health of Crisfield, MD, is expected to merge later
this year. Nanticoke Memorial Hospital and Peninsula Regional Medical Center will keep their names. A branding study is currently underway to develop a new name for the health system.
