    profession and their dedicated service to the citizens of Delaware. Those present to receive their 50-Year Medical Graduate Award were: Chandra S. Beesam, MD; Brett Elliott, MD; Herbert H. Heym,
MD; Majid Mansoory, MD; William A. Newcomb, MD; Frank Owczarek, MD; Leslie I. Rapkin, MD; and Joseph Siebold, DO. Special recognition awards were given to Michael A. Alexander, MD; Nancy
Fan, MD; and Suzanne J. Sherman, MD as members of the Delaware Foundation for Medical Services Board of Directors for their contributions to the Foundation’s role as a supporting organization for the Medical Society of Delaware.
Additional awards were presented at the Inaugural Gala held on Saturday evening,        Newark. The 2019 Daniel A. Alvarez, MD Distinguished Service Award was presented to Richard W. Henderson, MD and the President’s Award recognized Kara Odom Walker, MD, Secretary of the Delaware Department of Health and Social Services. An additional special recognition award was handed out in the evening. Patt E. Panzer, MD, member
of the Delaware Foundation for Medical Services Board of Directors, was presented her award as member of the Board and for her contributions to the Foundation’s role as a supporting organization of the Medical Society of Delaware.
As a memorial to the members of MSD who were lost through death during the past year, those in attendance at the Council meeting paid tribute to

Company Board submitted reports of their annual activities since the last Annual Meeting of the Council. The     
2020 PROPOSED BUDGET
The proposed 2020 budget was adopted by the Council as presented. Key       proposed budget that can positively or negatively affect the MSD Consolidated 2020 budget are: Membership, MSDIS Joint Venture Revenue, Education Revenue, MedNet Joint Venture with HealthEC, Annual Mission Appeal Campaign, and Cost Containment
for Variable Expenses. The proposed
    
surplus of $14,000 after taxes.

Two resolutions were presented to
the Council for consideration. The resolves of each resolution are as follows. Resolutions are numbered and presented in the order in which they are received.
