The AirGreen units contain both an air conditioner and a regen- erator and can operate on a variety of heat and cooling sources. The system is designed to operate with about 50% to 60% of the energy currently required in commercial and industrial buildings.
The first unit was successfully beta tested last year for two months at Oberod Estate in Delaware. With funding received last fall, the company will be able to com- plete 12 additional field trials, including installing a system in investor Kershner’s new restaurant, which is scheduled to open this fall on Pennsylvania Avenue
in Wilmington. The company has three AirGreen patents in various stages.
