Forum to Advance Minorities in Engineering, Inc. has a mission to prepare and motivate students in grades K-12,
with a specific focus on girls and other underrepresented minorities to complete a degree and or seek a career in STEM related pathways. Founded in 1976 by the DuPont Company, FAME is one of the nation’s first non-profit STEM education organizations.
FAME Inc. seeks to empower students and urges them to explore, seek solutions, and apply academic rigors when faced with daily challenges. Our vision is a workforce that looks like America. Shaping a STEM workforce that values diversity and realizes that inclusion drives Innovation!
The Learning Lab
The power of out-of-school enrichment activities is undeniable. Nationwide studies continue to show the impact of after-school programming, tutoring, and summer programming, particularly for girls and other
underrepresented student populations. FAME, Inc. is excited to announce the acquisition of 2005 Baynard Blvd in Wilmington and plans to renovate the existing building for the purpose of creating a community education and innovation center named The Learning Lab.
