Eleanor Roosevelt National Historic Site
Known as Val-Kill, this site was the home of First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt from 1945-1962. Memorial garden, grounds and hiking trails.

Historic Catskill Point
The former Freightmasters Building
is a vintage brick structure converted into a maritime museum, once used as a ticket office for passengers on the premier steamboat line, The Hudson River Day Line.

Historic Huguenot Street
National Historic Landmark District includes seven historic stone houses, a reconstructed 1717 French Church,
a replica Esopus Munsee wigwam, special exhibits, a research library and a historic burial ground. Programs and events year-round.

Jay Heritage Center
The childhood home of founding father John Jay. Docent-guided and self- guided tours are available.

Martin Van Buren National
Historic Site
The home and farm of the founder of the Democratic Party and the eighth president of the United States. Kinderhook; nps.gov/mava
New Windsor Cantonment State Historic Site
Winter encampment during the last winter and spring of the Revolutionary War. Demonstrations from mid-April through October. Exhibits in year-round visitor center. National Purple Heart of Honor located on grounds.

New York State Capitol
Constructed in Albany between 1867 and 1899 and adorned with intricate and elaborate carvings. All tours are free of charge. Albany; albany.org/ listing/new-york-state-capitol/893
Oakwood Cemetery
One of the largest rural cemeteries with notable gravesites, including our national icon Samuel Wilson, or “Uncle Sam.” The Earl Chapel and Crematory has Tiffany windows. Tours and special events.

Courthouse

   Bienstock Family Mid-Hudson Visitor Center and D&H Canal Museum

Chapel Restoration
Prominently overlooking the Hudson River, Chapel Restoration has no religious affiliation and is home to concerts, lectures and more.

Constitution Island
The Great Chain was anchored here in 1778, protecting the Hudson River and our Independence. During the 19th century, Anna and Susan Warner taught bible classes on the island to cadets who rowed across the river.
