Mud Pond Preserve

North-South Lake State Park Campground
Numerous hiking trails include: Catskill Mountain House, Artist’s Rock, Boulder Rock and the Kaaterskill Hotel site.

Old Croton Aqueduct Trail/State Historic Park
A National Historic Landmark Trail connected to the 97-acre Croton Gorge Park. A tree-lined, 26.3-mile portion of trail that shows off historic treasures along the Hudson River.

Putnam Trailway
Spanning 12 miles and following the “Old Put” line of the NY Central Rail, the Trailway is paved and great for cycling, jogging and more.

8-mile Sterling Ridge Trail and 3-mile Allis Trail. 4-mile Indian Hill Loop. 7 miles of Appalachian Trail and 10 miles of the Highlands Trail.

HIKING trails Stissing Mountain Fire Tower
Elevation 1,492 feet; 90-foot tower reached by steep one-hour hike up trails from base of mountain.

Storm King State Park
A favorite of hikers since early 1900. This mountain inspired the ecological
movement in the United States. Beautiful views of the Catskills and
the Hudson Valley. Hiking and hunting. No facilities.

Suffern-Near Mountain Trail
A classic north-south trail that runs
the length of Harriman State Park (26 miles), from Suffern to Bear Mountain State Park. Park at either end of the trail. Follow the yellow blazes.
