 Virtual Experiences
Virtual Tour Makes Planning Your Visit Even More Fun
There’s nothing better than a vacation — unless it’s planning one. Garrett County adds to that enjoyment by giving you a preview of many of its sights and sounds and providing an interactive trip planner to create your itinerary.
The Garrett County Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with YouVisit, hosts a 360° virtual-reality experience that includes videos and photos from locations throughout the county.
The experience starts with a two-minute introductory video featuring such popular attractions as Deep Creek Lake, the Mountain Fresh Farmers Market, Muddy Creek Falls at Swallow Falls State Park, the Honi Honi Bar, the scenic overlook
at Accident, a vacation rental home and more. Next, you are invited to explore 19 individual attractions by navigating around 360° panoramic images of each location. Videos embedded in the images provide an even better idea of what awaits you.
Access the Deep Creek virtual experience at and watch on your desktop, tablet, phone or VR headset. You can also download the app to your phone for quick and easy access.
The Mountain Maryland Gateway to the West Heritage Area also provides 360-degree virtual walking tours of a dozen historic sites. Access these at
