Copies of the fall foliage driving tours can be picked up at the Visitors Center located at 15 Visitors Center Drive, McHenry, MD 21541, downloaded with the Garrett Heritage app (available at the Google Play Store or iTunes App Store) or viewed online

Another great way to take in the foliage: playing one of the many fine golf courses in the region. Players love the challenging fairways and dazzling scenery. Lodestone
Golf Course (wispresort.com/ lodestone), designed by Hale Irwin, has stunning views overlooking Deep Creek Lake. The course also has the highest elevation of any golfing venue in Maryland at 2,973 feet above sea level.
Fantasy Valley Golf Course, formerly known as Wisp Resort Golf Course (wispresort.com/ fantasy-valley), has undergone numerous changes over the years and caters to all skill levels.
Oakland Golf Club (golfatoakland. com) spans 6,395 yards of scenic, rolling terrain and is home to the annual Western Maryland Amateur Championship.
Other courses in close proximity to Garrett County include Alpine Lake Resort (alpinelake.com/ golf), Rocky Gap Casino & Resort (rockygapcasino.com/ golf) and Preston Country Club (prestoncountryclub.com).
Looking for some family-friendly fun? Garrett County has several miniature golf courses that include other fun challenges, from go-karts to arcades. For more information, check out visitdeepcreek.com/list/ category/mini-golf-96.
Another great family activity: a visit to Monkey Business Adventure Park (deepcreeklakeadventure. com/activity/deep-creek-monkey- business-adventure-park) — it’s the largest aerial adventure park in the tri-state area.
