Delaware County serves as
a major center for people traveling to and from Philadelphia and around the
region. Delaware County’s location makes it a convenient home base for commuters. The County offers many options for getting around.
The Southeastern Pennsylvania Regional Transit Authority (SEPTA) runs bus lines and the Regional Rail Line, connecting points throughout Delaware County and beyond to major shopping and transit points. For sales locations, please visit www.septa.org/sales/ locations/delaware.html.
The western part of Philadelphia International Airport is in Delaware County. There are numerous shuttles and other transportation services that provide easy access from areas around the County to the airport,

To help augment local transportation,
the Delaware County Transportation Management Association (DCTMA) was formed as a private, non-profit organization that works to improve the transportation network serving the county. The mission of the DCTMA is to “provide a forum where employers, local, County, State agencies and transit authorities can cooperatively address transportation issues and coordinate a cost-effective and efficient transportation management strategy for
the County.”
DCTMA staff participates on various boards and taskforces throughout the region as a way to stay in touch with the important issues affecting

Uber provides private driver service in Delaware County. An app is available to set
up service via iPhone, Android and Windows. Coupons are offered for cost-saving deals.
Lyft is another private transportation service that connects people with rides with an app that is available on most mobile phones.
These auto services not only provide easy transportation to points around the County, they also provide local jobs.
