                                INTRODUCTION
More In DeManD Than ever Before
The Business Council of Westchester, the county’s business advocacy and membership organization, is proud to present this annual guide. With the 2021 edition, we are introducing you to all that makes living in Westchester, Orange, Rockland, Putnam, and Dutchess Counties so desirable. As we have seen during the recent turbulent times, this
region — which offers safe and vibrant neighborhoods, beautiful outdoor spaces, a resilient economy and housing market, and a wonderful kaleidoscope of diverse residents — is more in demand than ever before. New Yorkers of all kinds are flocking to Westchester and the Hudson Valley to enjoy its bounties, and we are excited to welcome all of them to our area.
We are happy to have the support of the Hudson Gateway Association of REALTORS®, allowing us to develop a broader regional focus within this publication. Together, we invite you to step through the gateway to the breathtaking Hudson Valley area. I know firsthand about Westchester’s scenic beauty, its broad range of residential, education, and employment opportunities, and its many cultural, historical, and recreational opportunities, all of which make Westchester one of the premier places to
live and work in the United States. Our diverse business presence has enriched the social and cultural fabric of Westchester’s communities while contributing to its economic strength. As you will see in this guide, there are also many great advantages to living in the neighboring counties of Orange, Rockland, Putnam, and Dutchess.
The Business Council of Westchester’s more than 1,000 business and professional members extend a very warm welcome to the region.
Sincerely,
Dr. Marsha Gordon, President/CEO

As we welcome 2021, we welcome a new year that we hope will be the beginning
of a brighter future, amid the challenges we all faced in 2020. As we continue to learn new ways of doing business and grow from the COVID pandemic and social unrest, we still hold steadfast to our goals in helping individuals and families fulfill the American dream of home ownership.
Over the past year, we have seen a steady migration to the suburbs, making Westchester County and the lower Hudson Valley even more desirable places to live. This year, we also introduced our new OneKey MLS public- facing website (OneKeyMLS.com), providing more than 44,000 listings from Long Island to the Catskill mountains.
To date, OneKey is the most robust multiple listing service in our region, offering up-to-the-minute data and the newest technological advances in the industry. Now, potential homeowners can search the entire New York Metro area and beyond for that perfect starter home or co-op, townhouse or condominium, or luxury home for a growing family. The new OneKey consumer site also offers detailed Community Guides of 13 counties in New York City and the Hudson Valley.
There are property-search tools in 21 languages, plus consumers are able to save searches and listings and share their favorites with family and friends. The site also offers map-based searches, beautiful images, and detailed remarks about each property.
Last fall, HGAR also completed its merger with the former Bronx-Manhattan North Association of REALTORS®, streamlining its reach into Manhattan, which became part of HGAR in 2016.
Today with almost 13,000 REALTORS®, HGAR and OneKey MLS can offer consumers dedicated real estate professionals who are recognized by both the New York State Association of REALTORS® and the National Association of REALTORS®.
For the past 104 years, HGAR has been a constant advocate for homeowners, providing consistent support to buyers and sellers throughout our region. Our HGAR members stand ready to help potential homeowners on their journey to their dream of a home and a brighter future.
Sincerely,
Richard K. Haggerty, CEO
