                                    WARWICK
Warwick — most known for its mas- sive annual apple festival — is a long-time favorite town for many Hudson Valley
ORANGE COUNTY
dwellers thanks to its mix of old-fash- ioned charm and robust village life. It has maintained a small-town feel, even through all of its cultural, economic, and population growth. A quick stroll down
Warwick’s sweet-as-apple-pie Main Street reveals a lack of national chains, a signal of the community’s values. Residents enjoy the outstanding restau- rants, bars, and the drive-in movie theater, as well as an array of hiking and biking opportunities and various events host- ed by the town’s orchards and winer- ies. The Warwick Valley Central School District gets an A grade on the Niche rating site; houses range from $250,000 for a small village cottage to $650,000 for a five-bedroom farmhouse tastefully restored with every rustic detail.

      GOSHEN
Melding old and new, the historic town of Goshen boasts a heritage dating back to 1714, which is clearly reflected in its well-preserved architecture. Operating since 1838, the Goshen Historic Track is the nation’s oldest operating har- ness track — its museum is small but informative. Limoncello at the Orange Inn is right across the street, offer- ing lunch and dinner in its circa-1700s structure. Other good restaurants abound in the village, along with storefronts like Happy Buddha Yoga, and Joe Fix It’s bike shop. The Heritage Trail, which runs through the village, beckons walkers, runners, and bicyclists alike. The Goshen Central School District earned a B grade on Niche.
