As the county’s largest and most prestigious business membership organization, The Business Council of Westchester represents more than 1,000 members, including multinational corporations, hospitals, universities, biotech pioneers, not-for-profits, entrepreneurs and companies of all sizes. The BCW is also the most influential economic development and advocacy organization in Westchester, offering our members unparalleled access to today’s top thought leaders, diverse business development opportunities and lawmakers at all levels of government. Each year, The BCW runs more than 80 highly engaging programs from our Political Leadership and Key Bank Speakers Series to our Hall of Fame, Rising Stars, Annual Dinner and quarterly evening networking events.
This past year, The BCW has taken a leadership role in advocating for our members on issues that most affect them such as a public private partnership at Westchester County Airport, The North 60 bio-tech hub, arguably
the most significant, visionary project in the region, and the recent moratorium on new natural gas customers in Westchester. In addition, our Annual Lobby Day in Albany allows members to engage in face-to-face discussions with the state’s top leaders.
The Data Exchange, a comprehensive online data center for current and prospective Westchester businesses,
provides the latest demographic research to help guide smart business decisions. The LEAP program, a one-of- a-kind initiative, gives members direct access to lobbying efforts at the county, state and national levels on issues that directly affect their businesses.
