• Westchester has 31 post-secondary educational institutions
• These include colleges, universities and vocational training centers including PACE University, Sarah Lawrence College, as well as state schools such as Westchester Community College and SUNY Purchase.

• 54,000 employees – approximately 13.6 percent
of the county’s total workforce
• Generated $6.9 billion in revenues
• Paid roughly $2.7 billion in wages and compensation
   Opportunity Zones
• The federal and state governments have included the following Westchester cities among its newly classified economic investment “Opportunity Zones.” This designation can enable investors in these communities to benefit from no capital gains taxes in return for long-term investments in these zones.

• Cortlandt
• New Rochelle • White Plains
• Port Chester • Mount Vernon
    Going Green
  • Westchester Green Business (WGB) and Green Team Spirit are programs of the Business Council of Westchester administered in partnership with Westchester County since 2009. The programs help integrate sustainable business practices into company operations. 75 Green Business members include major county employers such as Regeneron, SUNY Purchase and Westchester Medical Center.
