ADVANCING WESTCHESTER’S BIOSCIENCES INDUSTRY
As the Hudson Valley’s only biotechnology incubator, BioInc@NYMC offers shared resources, turnkey wet lab space, and sponsored professional services to promising, high-potential entrepreneurs and start-ups.
The Westchester County Bioscience Accelerator
program (wcbaccelerator.com) is a competitive entry, six-month long program designed to pro- vide entrepreneurship education and regional net- working to seed-stage ventures. The program is designed to help these ventures build their teams and secure funds.
“Each cohort includes 12 innovators at the leading edge of therapeutics, diagnostics, devices, research tools, digital health and materials technology breakthroughs,” says Deborah Novick, Director of Entrepreneurship and Innovation for Westchester County. “This program exemplifies Westchester’s status as a thriving and innovative biosciences hub.”
RMC Bio1 Announces 7,000 SF Lease
with Clarapath
RMC Bio1, Robert Martin Company’s expansion into the biosciences industry, has announced
a lease by a medical technology company from New York City. Clarapath has signed a lease for 7,000 square feet at Robert Martin’s Mid-Westchester Executive Park at 12 Skyline Drive in Hawthorne. Clarapath is the developer of an integrated robotics platform designed to standardize and digitally transform anatomic pathology.
THE NORTH 60
The North 60 is 60 acres of undevel- oped land in Valhalla that will be developed by Fareri Associates to create an innova- tive bioscience, technology and lifestyle campus. The hub will feature a pedestrian- friendly Main Street with shops, a hotel and conference center, restaurants with outdoor dining, and landscaped plazas. The campus will generate thousands of new high-paying jobs in bioscience, healthcare and research and create career opportuni- ties for nearby bioscience college students.
The first phase of the 99-year property lease requires the developer to create 220,000 square feet devoted to bioscience and medical technology use, 100,000 square feet in medical office space, 80,000 square feet in retail space and a hotel with 120 rooms and conference facilities.
