Executive Boardroom at The Abbey Inn in Peekskill
The County features a wide variety of hospitality amenities, including full service, luxury and mid-scale options. Westchester’s hotels are following all current health and safety protocols, and look forward to welcoming new visitors in the coming year.
Despite the pandemic, four new noteworthy properties recently emerged on the scene in Westchester:
OPUS
The Ritz-Carlton hotel in White Plains is being renovated and transformed into Opus, a Marriott International Autograph Collection hotel. Renovations include the reconstruction of the lobby, renovations to each hotel room, and upgrades to the hotel gym, spa and pool. The ballroom and private event spaces will be re-imagined and expanded to include a new bridal suite.
SONESTA WHITE PLAINS DOWNTOWN
Formerly the Crowne Plaza White Plains Downtown, the Sonesta White Plains
Downtown is a prime destination for social gatherings, corporate events and conferences. The hotel boasts 17,000 square feet of flexible function space, an award-winning culinary team, expert event planners and 402 guest rooms. The property recently completed a renovation of its main public spaces, including the lobby, restaurant and lounge area and new collaborative meeting spaces including “The Studio.”
SPRINGHILL SUITES
Located in the idyllic Village of Tuckahoe at the halfway point between New York City and the Lower Hudson Valley, the SpringHill Suites Tuckahoe Westchester County is operated by Marriott. The hotel offers convenient access to the Ridge Hill shopping center, Winged Foot Golf Club, and numerous shopping, dining and entertainment options.
THE ABBEY INN & SPA
The Abbey Inn & Spa in Peekskill has been named No. 3 on the list of 10 Best New Hotels of the Year for 2020 by the editors and readers of USA Today.
The property dates to 1902 and features commanding Hudson River views and a variety of distinctive indoor and outdoor meeting and event spaces for weddings and other socially distanced gatherings.
Located in Peekskill’s historic Fort Hill, just one hour from Grand Central Station, the property is perched high, overlooking the Hudson River. The Abbey Inn also features luxurious guest rooms and suites, exquisite indoor and outdoor private event spaces and Apropos, a farm-to-table restaurant and bar.
