                                 Welcome
Dear Business Leader:
There are a million reasons to make Westchester County the place for your business. From global brands and Fortune 500 companies, to technology start-ups and hard-working small businesses – Westchester County has what you need to make your business grow and thrive. Our convenient location just outside New York City, scenic beauty, wealth of talented business professionals and one million residents are just some of the reasons our County provides the economic climate for success.
And, even with these well-established strengths, what I am most proud of is our plans for the future. Building on the momentum of Westchester’s booming biotech sector, our Office of Economic Development has approved a $38 million expansion of the Ardsley Park BioMed Realty campus, designed to house a total of 10 new life sciences companies in the coming years. The Westchester Industrial Development Agency, a driving force in providing financial incentives for a number of new commercial developments, has granted approval to transform vacant office properties along the I-287 corridor, as well as build transit-oriented developments close to Metro-North train stations. The County’s real estate market is truly flourishing.
The Westchester County Office of Economic Development, along with the Industrial Development Agency and Local Development Corporation, offer businesses resources and a wide range of incentives to help attract and retain talent in Westchester.
This Guide includes insight, profiles and testimonials from Westchester’s top executives. It also contains what you need to know to keep up with real estate, transportation and demographic trends in the County. Let it serve as a valuable resource for you and your business, as you continue to look at all the opportunities Westchester County has to offer.
Sincerely,
George Latimer
Westchester County Executive
