Revitalized MBWE Program
In early 2019, Westchester County’s Minority and Women-owned Business Enterprises program (MWBE) announced major changes, including: the establishment of per- centage goals for County contracts with MWBEs for construction (20%), professional services (20%) and goods (10%). These will be increased over time to be aligned with the NYS goals of 30 percent. The program
is also re-establishing its Technical Assistance Plan Committee, which is tasked to develop an educational, technical and informational assis- tance program targeting MWBEs.
