  Honoring Our Beacons of Pride: Architecture, Artistry and Personal Expression
Join us for Town Tours & Village Walks, a series of free summer strolls through historic neighborhoods, hamlets, villages and sites in Chester County.
This summer, explore Chester County’s heritage on Thursday evenings, June 11 through August 20. Tours generally last 50 minutes and begin at 5:30 p.m. Each tour
is designed to inform, entertain and increase awareness of Chester County’s rich heritage and historic landscape. A number of sites offer a good selection of restaurants and shops to enjoy after the tour. Please note several dates require advance registration.
The National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 states that “the spirit and direction of the Nation are founded upon and reflected in its historic heritage and that the historical and cultural foundations of the Nation should be preserved as a living part of our community life...” This is done, it says, to give “a sense of orientation to the American people.” This recognition of the historic landscape and the cultural legacy it speaks to is the
