                           Wineries
Move over beer, because Chester County’s Brandywine Valley is also one of Pennsylvania’s premier wine regions. Over a dozen vineyards
and wineries line the rolling hills, and the region’s robust terroir yields premium wines. One of the oldest and largest in Pennsylvania is local Chaddsford Winery. The winery’s Camp Chaddsford, a unique wine camp for grown-ups, is held on the weekends of July 25 & 26 and August 1 & 2, 2020. For a true summer camp experience, there will be lawn games, arts and crafts, great food and of course wine and beer!
Enjoy tours and tastings at all the wineries in the Brandywine Valley. And plan to attend one of the many events throughout the year, including Phoenixville Beer & Wine Festival on May 9, 2020 and Longwood Gardens’ annual Wine & Jazz Festival, June 6, 2020.
Visit BrandywineValley.com for a full list of wineries, events and accommodations.
Distilleries
Kentucky might seem like the logical origin of American whiskey and spirits, but actually, the mid-Atlantic region is the birthplace of distilling
in the United States (think post- Revolution Whiskey Rebellion.) Three distinct and delicious craft distilleries in the area offer wonderfully creative hand-made whiskey, gin, bourbon, vodka, brandy and more.
Bluebird Distilling is an award- winning grain-to-glass facility in the historic town of Phoenixville, PA. Bluebird was voted one of USA Today’s Best Brandy Distilleries.

 Bluebird Distilling
Brandywine Branch Distillery & Bistro in Elverson, PA is best known for Revivalist Gin and Resurgent Bourbon Whiskey, among other spirits. The bistro onsite offers fresh, local fare to pair with the distillery’s creative cocktails. And Pennsylvania Distilling Co. offers
a relaxed environment, with a bar hand-built by the owners and their families, to sample the delightful spirits. Food trucks are often available for dining options.
Plan a spirited getaway to the Brandywine Valley by visiting BrandywineValley.com and stop into the BRANDYWINE VALLEY TOURISM INFORMATION CENTER (300 Greenwood Road, Kennett Square, PA) for Winery and Brewery brochures.
