ave we got a story for you...57 of them as a matter of fact. That’s how many floors you’ll have to travel for a view of Philadelphia (and Delco!) that will leave
you, well, floored. The journey starts out on the second floor of One Liberty Place, right next to Ben Franklin’s size 96 feet. A 75-second elevator ride takes you to the top of the city’s iconic skyscraper, where you’ll find Ben’s head — and a crowd of people taking selfies with our favorite founding father. Six multilingual, interactive touchscreen kiosks allow guests to get an up-close view of Philly’s neighborhoods while still enjoying the big picture.

or anyone feeling the need for a little space, the 120 acres of Smedley Park (tucked in between Springfield Mall and the Blue Route on Baltimore Pike) is just the answer. A virtual
nirvana for kids (TWO playgrounds, a just-waiting-to- be-explored creek and a trolley that passes through high above it), a haven for mountain bike riders and a virtual soccer mecca on Saturday mornings, Smedley is a great place to get a little breathing room.

Ice Works > IceWorks.net
No doubt about it — IceWorks will be the coolest place in Delco this summer. Beginners can venture out onto the ice on one of four ice rinks and then relax (or recuperate in some cases) in the Pub & Grill, which
is not to be confused with a “snack bar” as found in most
ice rinks. This is a real pub and grill — with about 50 beers
on the menu and enough HDTVs to keep the parents happy while the kids skate. As the only public rink in the United States or Canada that has a professional coaching staff, IceWorks is also home to many of the area’s aspiring hockey players and figure skaters who attend programs overseen by former professional hockey players Jim Watson and Stephane Charbonneau and Olympic figure skating coach Uschi Keszler. On the ice and off, it’s definitely a great place to chill out.
