aaaahhhh, the Main Line. If we had to pick an upscale section of Delco, this would be it. This is where wealthy
Philadelphians built summer estates along the main railroad line decades ago. Today, Lancaster Avenue (Route 30) in Wayne is home to great restaurants, chic shops and even a gem of an indie bookstore (Main Point Books), where you can actually hold books in your hands! (Sorry, Amazon, we love you . . . but sometimes you just need to flip through the pages yourself.) You’ll pass Valley Forge Military Academy cadets, ladies doing lunch and local college kids on a coffee run . . . and you’ll realize that strolling the avenue makes for a great summer afternoon.
