    CHAMBER GROUPS AND COMMITTEES
    Networking doesn’t only take place at events — it happens at monthly meetings, too! Interested
in learning more about what is going on in the Greater Bethesda area and developing relationships while strengthening your business and the Chamber? Then take a look at these opportunities and join a committee or group! All members can attend any meeting unless otherwise noted.
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT/GOVERNMENT RELATIONS
Purpose: Develop proactive agenda; monitor all issues that affect living, working and doing business in the Greater Bethesda community.
Meets 4th Wednesday of the month, 8:00-9:00 am
Chairs: Ellen Coren (Chesapeake Public Strategies), Matt Gordon (Selzer Gurvitch Rabin Wertheimer & Polott, P.C.)

LEGISLATIVE TASK FORCE
MEMBERSHIP DEVELOPMENT
Purpose: Strengthen and grow the Chamber’s member network by targeting key companies, improving membership retention and recruitment, participating in Walk-Arounds, and organizing the Ambassador program.
Meets 3rd Tuesday of the month, 8:30 am-9:30 am
*Meetings are limited to Chamber members only

NEXTEXEC (YOUNG PROFESSIONALS GROUP)
Purpose: Self-run peer group for young professionals in the Greater Bethesda area interested in engaging in business networking, professional development and community service.
Meets 4th Tuesday of the month, 4:00-5:00 pm;
* Happy hour following each meeting
Co-Chairs: Brandan Stuckey (Bethesda Transportation Solutions), Sean Makulowich (IdeaFire Consulting)
Staff Liaison: Monica Compton
REAL ESTATE
Purpose: Focuses on current and future real estate projects and issues, highlighting various new projects in the area. Organizes the Chamber's Annual Real Estate Update.
Meets 4th Wednesday of the month, 9:15-10:15 am
Co-Chairs: Gary Unterberg (Rodgers Consulting, Inc.), Hill Slowinski (Long & Foster | Christie's | Maryland Settlers LLC)

SPECIAL EVENTS
Purpose: Plan, develop and promote special Chamber events throughout the year.
Meets as needed for each major event
V.P. Information and Event Planning: Susanna Parker (Bethesda Transportation Solutions)
Staff Liaison: Courtney DeLucia GOLF COMMITTEE
Purpose: Plan and execute the Chamber’s Annual Golf Tournament,        
Meets as needed January-May
Chair: Jeff Burton (Bethesda Urban Partnership)
Staff Liaison: Courtney DeLucia GOODWILL DINNER COMMITTEE
Purpose: Plan and execute the Chamber’s annual Goodwill Dinner efforts — previously a large dinner for the underprivileged in the area, and now a weekly food distribution to help those who are food insecure due to COVID.
Meets as needed throughout the year
Co-Chairs: Shelley Belk (Hyatt Regency Bethesda), Jack Alexander (AMR Commercial)
Staff Liaisons: Allie Williams and Monica Compton
      Purpose: Review legislation introduced by members of the General Assembly that affects member businesses; determine the Chamber’s position on each bill. Members of this group also volunteer to help write letters and/or testify on behalf of the Chamber.
Meets once per week via conference call during the legislative session from late January through mid-March; as needed for the rest of the year Chair: Ellen Coren (Chesapeake Public Strategies)

SENIOR MARKET GROUP (SMG)
Purpose: Offer programs and information on how to better serve, understand and market to the senior demographic and their families. This group also focuses on providing education, networking and referral opportunities for members.
Meets 2nd Tuesday of the month, 9:00-10:00 am
Co-Chairs: Lisa Siegel (The Jane Fairweather Team), Ken Silverstein (AlfredHouse Elder Care)
