            1970s
DARIO BROCCOLINO, J.D. ’70, retired from his job as Howard County (Md.) State’s Attorney in 2018, after serving in the post for 12 years. He first joined the office in 1999.
JAMES B. ASTRACHAN, J.D. ’74, a principal in Astrachan Gunst Thomas, was recognized by The Daily Record as a Leadership in Law honoree in May 2019.
HON. PAMILA BROWN, J.D. ’79, administrative judge for Howard County District Court, was named a Trailblazing Woman in Maryland by The Daily Record in 2018.
1980s
STUART RESNICK, J.D. ’81, joined Kramon & Graham as of counsel in the firm’s real estate and transactions groups in February 2019.
HON. WENDY G. ROTHSTEIN, J.D. ’82, was elected judge of the Court of Common Pleas in Montgomery County, Pa. in November 2017.
RAYMOND J. BRUSCA, J.D. ’84, retired in December 2018 after a 38-year career, most recently as the chief human resources officer for Techtronic Industries, a $7 billion manufacturer of power tools and vacuum cleaners. Ray and his wife will split their time between homes in Naples, Fla. and Nantucket, Mass.
HON. DANIEL J. CLIFFORD, J.D. ’84, Montgomery (Pa.) County
Court of Common Pleas, was appointed by the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania to vice chair of the Supreme Court Domestic Relations Procedural Rules Committee for a three-year term.
LAWRENCE RICHARDSON JR., B.A. ’80, J.D. ’84, was named policy director for Harford County (Md.) in June 2019. He brings three decades of lobbying experience to the position.
JOHN VARLEY, J.D. ’84, was named senior vice president, chief administrative officer and general counsel at ExpressJet Airlines in January 2019. Previously, he was SVP and general counsel at Virgin America.
DIANE SENGSTACKE, J.D. ’85, president of Home Title Co. of Md. and founder of Sengstacke Law, LLC, was recognized by
The Daily Record as a Leadership in Law honoree in May 2019.
HON. ANDREW M. BATTISTA, J.D. ’87, was appointed a Circuit Court Judge in Baltimore County in December 2018.
HON. FRED S. HECKER, J.D. ’87, was named administrative judge of the Circuit Court for Carroll County (Md.) in 2019. He was first appointed to the court
in 2014. Prior to his current
role, he was vice president
of government affairs for the Maryland Chamber of Commerce.
ROYAL W. CRAIG, MBA ’89,
J.D. ’89, joined Gordon Feinblatt LLC as a member on its technology and intellectual property team in September 2018.
CARLOS F. ORTIZ, LL.M. ’89, pictured above, joined the firm of Norton Rose Fulbright in New York to help expand its white- collar crime, investigations and tax practices. Ortiz previously chaired the white-collar defense and investigations practice group at Blank Rome.

TONI-JUNELL HERBERT, J.D. ’90, joined BakerHostetler as a partner in its intellectual property group based in Washington, D.C. Her focus is on chemical and life sciences clients.
ROBERT MASTERS, J.D. ’90,
joined the intellectual property practice group at Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP in Washington, D.C., as partner. Carolyn Evans, J.D. ’92, joined the Law Offices of Anthony J. DiPaula, PA, in 2019.
MARK WOLFE, J.D. ’94, was named associate director of the Office of Derivatives Policy and Trading Practices at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in 2018.
VALENTINE A. BROWN, J.D. ’95, a partner at Duane Morris LLP in Philadelphia and the firm’s pro bono partner, was presented with the Cheryl Bryson Leadership Award from the Duane Morris Women’s Impact Network for Success, for her efforts to advance women in the legal profession.
CHARLES J. ACQUISTO, J.D. ’96, was named partner at the Law Offices of Stephenson, Acquisto & Colman, in San Francisco, in 2018.
JOSEPH M. STANALONIS,
J.D. ’96, was appointed to the St. Mary’s County (Md.) Circuit Court in December 2018, after serving his entire legal career in the county State’s Attorney’s Office.
DAVID A. WEISKOPF, J.D. ’96, was appointed County Attorney for St. Mary’s County (Md.) in December 2018.
SCOTT MIRSKY, J.D. ’97, joined the employment practice of Paley Rothman’s northern Virginia office in June 2019.
HON. WYTONJA CURRY, J.D. ’98, pictured above, was named to the Prince George’s County Circuit Court in 2018.

MELISSA M. BOYD, J.D. ’99, has been appointed chair of the Montgomery County (Pa.) Family Justice Advisory Board. She has participated in recent family law seminars sponsored by the Montgomery County and Pennsylvania bar associations.
DAVID F. KATZ, J.D. ’99, joined Adams and Reese, LLP's Atlanta office in February 2019.

WILLIAM HONABLEW JR., MBA ’00, J.D.’00, became executive director of the Baltimore City Chamber of Commerce in April 2019.
HON. NICOLE PASTORE KLEIN, J.D. ’00, a Baltimore City District Court judge, was recognized in May 2019 as a Leadership in Law honoree by The Daily Record.
CAPT. JOSEPH H. D. SOLOMON, J.D. ’00, assumed command of the United States Coast Guard's Maritime Law Enforcement Academy in North Charleston, S.C. The academy and its five subordinate Regional Fisheries Training Centers provide world- class training, assessment
and performance support to all Coast Guard operators conducting maritime law enforcement, security and safety missions worldwide.
