UNICO National now accepting
scholarship applications for 2025
Italian-American Herald
UNICO National Inc. each year offers
more than $120,000 in scholarship grants to
high school seniors and matriculated college
students in almost every discipline.
Scholarship applications for the 2024-
2025 programs are open. Submission
directions have been updated, to be sure that
requirements are clearly understood. This
includes the newly established John Alati
Scholarship for Musical Arts.
Candidates are directed to the UNICO
National website (unico.org), where they
are to click on the Scholarship tab to access
complete information and submission
instructions. Upon entering the site, they will
find specific requirements on an introductory
page, to prevent students from initiating
applications not suited to their area of study.
This applies mainly to matriculated students.
There are only six scholarships available to
high school seniors.
Previous recipients may not apply for
additional scholarships while their award is
still active.
The submission deadline for most
scholarships is April 15, 2025. Applications
for the DiMattio Celli Family Study Abroad
Scholarships are due March 1, 2025. IAH

A Festa Italiana held at St. Edmond Parish
Hall, Rehoboth Beach on Nov. 10 brought
members of UNICO Delaware and the St.
Vincent de Paul Society of the parish together
to raise funds for local residents in need
during the cold winter months.
The event featured a traditional Italian
Sunday dinner, a raffle with gift baskets
donated by UNICO members and gift
cards from many local businesses. Over
$2,000 was raised for the St. Vincent de
Paul Society. IAH
