Where Are They Now? For over 30 years, on WPVI-TV 6 ABC, thousands of talented performers appeared on Al Alberts Showcase. ALUMNI can be found all over the Globe ‘on-stage’ & ‘behind the scenes’ from Broadway to Las Vegas. Steve Geiger, a Temple grad, Albert’s alma mater too, has a career from reporter to Exec VP News at WTVT Fox 13 Tampa, Florida. Other alumni include New Jersey Twins; Sandra & Deborah Fanelli, Nashville by way of Newtown Square Twins; Heather & Jennifer Kinley & Internationally known talents including Sister Sledge, Teddy Pendergrass, Broadway’s 1st “Annie”; Andrea McArdle & recently “Jersey Boys”

A luncheon at Mercato Restaurant & Bar w/ prominent West Chester Attorney, Joe Claffy, an original piano player w/ Showcase’s Marty Caruso’s Band, found us enjoying delicacies from Italian-born Chef & Restaurateur Alfredo Giannaccari. With excellent service by Carmen, he recommended Alfredo’s Grey- stone Oyster Bar & his new venture, due to open in ‘22, a modern Italian style steakhouse, Toscana Ristorante, in Newtown Square (formerly Guiseppe’s). Born in Italy & sharing authentic Italian cuisine to Chester County, there’s even more to come.

The Delaware County Veterans Memorial (DCVMA) on West Chester Pike recently celebrated Veterans at their annual Freedom Medal Dinner. Co-Founded by Linda Houldin, I can’t believe it’s over 3 years since she’s past, I’m seated among friends James May, String Band Costume Legend, Drew Baum, Sharon Bank Board Member, Guy Fizzano, Past President of DCVMA & owner of Fizzano Brothers & Tom Nicholl. News from USA to ITALY ~ Thanks to my grandmother, Lucia Nobilio Acciavatti, she always kept us in contact with our Italian relatives. In USA, “She Said Yes”, descendants Louie Acciavatti from South Philadelphia & Jennifer Condo are engaged. In ITALY, we’re proud of our cousin, engineer Zopito Nobilio, who,
as a teen, spent a summer here I will never forget. Now he’s
a published author who wrote‘Tutto l’amore in gioco’, on his struggle
& battle w/ cancer. He is working on an English translation for his American cousins.
