and esteem.
 HOW WE MAKE AN IMPACT
For more than 45 years, we have been an
anchor in the community. As the pandemic
continues to present daily challenges, we
know how critical community is during the
most difficult times in our lives. We are
unwavering in our commitment to provide
support, resources and opportunities to
connect with one another. During our last
fiscal year, 85,010 people visited the Center
and 5,241 people received services through our programs, including:
• 4,940 people fed by our Claymont Food Closet
• 179 members joined our Brandywine Senior Center
• 57 students received instruction in our ESOL and Learning Center programs • 65 students participated in our Empowered Youth program
In addition, 48,376 COVID-19 tests and 500 vaccinations were administered by Delaware National Guard troops through our partnership with the State of Delaware.
Each one of these statistics represents people whose lives were made better by the Center. Your support helps make this happen each and every year.
We can’t thank you enough!
GIVING OPPORTUNITIES
Our four signature programs — Food Closet, Senior Center, Learning Center and Empowered Youth — are made financially possible through grants and private contributions. Members of the community can support the Center by giving to one of our programs or by sponsoring a special event, including our Festival of Lights and C3 5K Run/Walk. We are seeking donations of food and personal hygiene items throughout the year.
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Volunteering for a CCC program can be a rewarding experience. We offer a wide array of opportunities such as sorting donations and distributing food in our Food Closet or tutoring children or adults. Our staff is always glad to speak with potential volunteers to match their interests with the needs of those we serve.
