design sources reveals that some of the cool stuff we loved last year is looking a little tired — just in time for 2017 trends to take their place. We have chosen some of our favorites — fun ideas that are not major investments — a pop of color here, a new acquisition there, and getting rid of the odd piece that’s dragging down your ranking on the style-o- meter. in: Round Mirrors
Design website MyDomaine is “having a round
mirror moment” — meaning that round mirrors add a “stunning chic factor” to virtually any room. Besides the chic factor, consider this: Most of our rooms are made up of straight lines and right angles. Visually, we tend to reinforce that, choosing rectangular pieces that fit easily into our rooms. A round mirror can break up the unconscious monotony of that geometry and instantly make a space more interesting. So chic.
