     CENTERS OF EXCELLENCE
As renovations continue in our branches throughout the County, Baltimore County Public Library is creating unique spaces called Centers of Excellence. These centers provide specialized resources and staff in
a specialty area to help the residents of Baltimore County learn and collaborate. Our current Centers of Excellence include:
THE HIVE AT THE HEREFORD BRANCH 
as an art/maker studio, the space focuses on arts programming, learning and collaboration. There is an artist-in-residence program offered periodically along with art exhibits throughout the entire branch. The Hive is sponsored by the NBCAF, the Northern Baltimore County Art Foundation.
THE COLAB AT THE RANDALLSTOWN BRANCH
This technology/maker hub features virtual reality
      
equipment and computers for customers to experiment and learn the latest in programs and software.
