  HOW TO MAKE THE MOST OF YOUR LIBRARY CARD
RENEWALS
Renewals allow you to extend the original loan period for an item already checked out to you. Renewals are not always for the same length of time as the original loan period. The new due date is calculated from the date the renewal is submitted.                   one time). To renew online, log in to your library account or click on
the My Account area under the main banner of our home page or any of our web pages. Log in using your library card number (without spaces) and your password. When you are logged in, click on Items Out on the left side of the page.
This shows the items you have currently checked out from the library. Step-by-step instructions for renewing items can be found under View and Renew Items Out. Items on hold for another borrower are not eligible for renewal.
HOLDS AND REQUESTS
You can place a hold or request items from any branch to be picked up at the branch of your choice. Holds and requests can be completed on any computer through the catalog, and              check out. Holds that are not picked up after seven (7) days are subject to a $1 fee.
MARINA/INTERLIBRARY LOAN
If we don’t have an item you are looking for, you can use the Marina database of Maryland libraries and interlibrary loan to see if another library has it available to be delivered

Customers with outstanding balances may be denied use of library services and may be referred to a collection agency.

OR LATE LIBRARY MATERIALS
Extended loan fees, up to a maximum extended loan fee, normally accrue daily until overdue items are returned. Fees never exceed the purchase price of the item.
