Whether you’re looking for help with your resume, interviewing tips or need help securing a job, the library has a variety of programs, services and resources to assist you.
ARTIST/MAKER PROGRAMS
Want to try your hand at papercutting? How about book binding? Jewelry making? The library works with local artists and makers to provide you the opportunity to explore a new outlet for your creativity.
BOOK BUZZ
If you’re looking for the next buzzworthy title, librarians share and discuss the must-read books of the season.
CIVIC ENGAGEMENT PANEL DISCUSSIONS
Immigration. Religion. Opioids. Elections. Join members of the community in discussion with experts on topics of local, state and national importance.
AUTHORS & WRITERS
Hear from authors about their craft or work on your own. Baltimore County Public Library welcomes authors for presentations of their books, and encourages the local writing scene with writers groups and workshops and participation in the annual Indie Author Day. You can discover local authors in our Local Author Collection as well.
BOOK CLUBS
Many library branches host community book clubs and book- related activities, including general book discussion groups like Books, Coffee and Conversation.
BC READS
BC Reads is a county-wide reading event in Baltimore County connecting people of all ages through reading, discussing and experiencing books and community in a different way.
 BC READS
What if everyone read the same books at the same time? BC Reads takes place each April with a series of events that encourages conversation and a deeper connection for residents living in Baltimore County through reading and the arts. Since its inception in April 2016, almost 3,000 community members of all ages have participated in a wide variety of programs, including      discussions, poetry workshops, book discussions and more. Authors of our selected books visit branches, county schools and senior living communities.
