Associate/Supplier of the Year John Johnson
This year’s winner is John Johnson of Karins Associates. The award is given to the individual that has made a signif- icant contribution to the association through committee involvement and sponsorship of ABC events.
John is a member and supporter of ABC who truly believes in the funda- mental values of ABC. He has commit- ted countless hours of his time to ABC.
John has been the chair of the Careers in Construction Committee after serv- ing on the committee for years. During his tenure as chair, John has helped ABC Delaware expand our promotion of ca- reers in construction by increasing our member participation in the New Castle County Vocational School District open houses, our sponsorship of their con- struction summer camp, and promoting their co-op programs with our mem- bers. He was also the driving force be- hind our redesign of ABC’s Construction Education Foundation of Delaware and starting the ACE Mentoring program for construction at St. George’s High School.
John spent many hours volunteering for ABC Delaware. Besides chairing the ABC Careers in Construction Commit- tee, he is also a member of the Legisla- tive and Legal Rights Committee.
His company has been an avid sup- porter of ABC events, sponsoring such events as the annual Awards program, the Crab Feast, our GC Showcase, the ABC Trade Show and the Student/STEP/ Diversity awards dinner.
ABC is truly fortunate to have an involved member like John.
